‘Healthy Aging Open House’ set for Sept. 17 at HCHHH

Howard County Home Health and Hospice will host “Healthy Aging Open House” on Sept. 17, 10 a.m. to noon, at the HCHHH office at 101 Furr St. in Fayette. The event is free and open to the public.

Information concerning advanced directives/living wills, diet and occupational therapy will be offered as well as free blood pressure checks.

Hackmans inducted into 4-H Hall of Fame

Leonard and Esther Hackman of Howard County were inducted into the 4-H Hall of Fame on Aug. 18 at the State Fair Community College.

They were among 51 others who “have made exceptional contributions to the lives of Missouri 4-H members,” said Missouri 4-H Foundation Executive Director Cheryl Reams.

Villers Drive report

Villers’ monthly carry-in luncheon, held in Schnell Hall, Aug. 21, had 22 residents and guests welcomed by Rosemary Young. Former resident, Kathy Rhodes, stopped by for awhile. August birthdays were Velma Stemmons, Richard Allen and Leonard Young.

Summer flowers decorated the hall. Shirley Studley asked the blessing. After the lunch, there was some good fellowship.
