Bakery, adjoining buildings will go on the auction block

Three buildings on South Main Street will go up for auction on the courthouse steps next month. A Sheriff’s Sale will commence at 11 a.m. on Friday, January 8, 2021, for 112, 114, and 116 South Main Street.

The building at 112 S. Main was the location for the now-closed Savory Bakery. Owner Doreathy Booth closed down the restaurant in October and has since left town. The buildings will hit the auction block to cover any outstanding debts.

Booth reportedly paid cash for the buildings. But a judgment against her in the amount of $9,833.14 was awarded in January of this year to Show-Me Rental Co., LLC, which is owned by Fayette attorney Frank R. Flaspohler. In the suit, the company alleged that Booth owed back rent, fees, and other expenses in regard to a house she rented in Fayette. Show-Me Rental Co., LLC manages the property.

According to online court documents, Booth was absent from all court proceedings.
