Barbara Jean Greb, 60, of John Knox Care Center in Lee’s Summit, Missouri, went to be with her Lord on Nov. 8, 2016.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 19, 2016, at Langsford Funeral Home in Lee’s Summit. Burial will follow at the Fayette City Cemetery in Fayette, Missouri. A visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Barbara was born on Aug. 28, 1956, in the Kansas City hospital. After being in a car accident, therapy helped her to regain her speech after five years. She graduated from Shawnee Mission East High School with an IQ of 93 and was very good at reading and vocabulary. Barbara lived an active life in a wheelchair, going to many social activities, Plaza and church cathedrals, and many museums in Europe. She loved riding around in her van looking at the sights and Christmas lights. She also enjoyed painting and drawing cats, dogs, and horses.
Barbara is preceded in death by her father Gordon Greb in 1981 and step father Thomas Lyne in 2006. She leaves behind her mother Dana of Lee’s Summit, Missouri; step brothers, James Lyne of Bedford, Texas, and Peter Lyne of Oregon; step sister, Jennifer Lyne of Bermuda; and many cousins.
