The first run of the game was scored by Sturgeon in the top of the third inning at Glasgow on Thursday.
The Lady Jackets responded by crossing home plate half a dozen times in the bottom half of the inning on the way to a 9-2 victory.
Olivia Fuemmeler and Emma Massie had singles in the second inning, but Sturgeon stranded both and took a took a 1-0 lead in the third.
Hadley Sanders singled twice during Glasgow’s six-run inning. She led off the inning with a hit and scored the Lady Jackets’ first run. Her second hit drove in two runs and put Glasgow up 6-1.
Miranda Cooper and Keyanna Colvin each had a hit in the inning as well.
Colvin gave up two runs on just three hits and one walk in the circle and she struck out six.
Layne Sanders, Malia Carmack, and Fuemmeler each drew a walk and scored a run. Kaylyn Campbell was hit by a pitch and scored as well.
Glasgow took advantage of three walks and a hit batter in the fourth inning, adding two more runs. Massie had a single in the inning. She finished 2-4 with two RBI.
Sturgeon scored a run in the sixth, but Fuemmeler and Campbell hit back-to-back doubles in the seventh to restore the seven-run advantage.
The Lady Jackets improved to 5-6 with the win.
