The Boonslick Historical Society will meet for a spring meeting Friday, 7 p.m., in Turner Hall in Boonville.
The meeting will feature an illustrated lecture about James C. Macurdy, Boonville photographer in the late 1800s.
James Higbie, Boonville resident and restorer of old buildings, has extensively researched Macurdy, having collected personal letters, more than 150 images created by Macurdy and some 100 digital images about Macurdy’s life in Boonville and the surrounding area. He will share the results of his research at the Boonslick Historical Society meeting.
A wine and cheese reception will follow the presentation. The event is free and open to the public.
