The Boys & Girls Clubs of West Central Missouri will host an inaugural art exhibit at Central Methodist University’s famed Ashby-Hodge Gallery of American Art to raise funds for the Fayette Site this Saturday, April 26. The Fine Arts Exhibit, presented by Commercial Trust Co., will display artwork created by Boys & Girls Club members and features a silent auction.
“We are incredibly excited to showcase the amazing talents of our Fayette Boys & Girls Club members,” said Director of Development Emily Schmidt. “The Fayette community has been incredibly welcoming of our organization, and we look forward to this first fundraiser.”
Tickets for the event are $10 and include light refreshments and access to the silent auction. The Fine Arts Exhibit will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. at the gallery on the ground floor of Classic Hall on the south end of campus along Elm Street.
The Fayette Boys & Girls Club opened in March 2024 at St. Paul United Methodist Church. Fayette marks the 14th site for the organization. It serves kindergarten through high school students who attend the Fayette R-III School District, offering all-day care on Mondays when school is not in session and afterschool activities Tuesdays through Fridays. The Club also offers a summer program. A new cement slab with a basketball goal was recently installed thanks to the Fayette Rotary Club.
