New Franklin seniors Gavin Bishop and Tyler Perkins each reached 1,000 career points during the Bulldogs’ 20th win of the season, a 63-43 victory over Brunswick on Friday.
Bishop finished with 22 and Perkins added 11. Tysen Dowell scored 15 for the Bulldogs and Tre Cowans had eight.
The New Franklin defense held Brunswick to just 14 first-half points, taking a 22-point lead into the locker room at half time.
Brunswick had more offensive success in the second half, but was unable to reduce the lead.
“This was a tough game to follow up a tough road conference game, but the guys dug deep and were able to have good effort and focus,” New Franklin coach Ross Dobson said.
“You could definitely tell our legs were gone in the second half of the game but I am proud of the guys and hope we continue to work hard the rest of the season.”
