After a stellar 2022 campaign, Central Methodist sophomore guard Jonathan Brown was named a National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics Third Team All-American by the NAIA office on Wednesday.
The All-American list is comprised of three teams of 10 players, along with 47 players on the honorable mention list.
Brown appeared in 32 games with 31 starts in his first full season with the Eagles. The native of London, England led the team in scoring, averaging 18.6 points per game. Brown also averaged 4.2 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game.
His best performance of the year came in CMU's 79-73 upset victory over No. 3 William Penn back on December 8. Brown scored a career-high 35 points along with eight rebounds and four assists. For his efforts in that victory, he was selected Heart Player of the Week.
The Heart of America Athletic Conference First Team All-Conference performer converted on 45.7% of his field goal attempts and 37.2% from beyond the arc.
On the season, Brown tallied 31 total double-digit scoring performances, including 15 games with over 20 points, and two games with 30-points or more.
Brown led the Eagles to a 22-11 overall record and their first appearance in the NAIA National Tournament since 2018.
