Due to the increase in Covid cases the family has decided to postpone visitation and services until further notice to keep everyone safe and well.

A private celebration of life will be held in the spring.

Charlotte “Elaine” Fisher Frink, 87, of Fayette, Missouri passed away Friday, January 7, 2022, in Fayette.

She is survived by her sisters Sue (Kenny) Yaeger and Joyce Fisher; her children, Denese (Lon) Hedglin, Stan (Julie) Frink, Daytha Trimble, and Dana Frink; and her seven beloved grandchildren, Jake (Kelley) Frink, Amber (Chris) Vroman, Parker Trimble, Katie Frink, Georgia Trimble, Gavin (Ashlie) Hart, and DeLayne Hart; and seven great-grandchildren, Matthew Frink, Cameron Frink, Avery Vroman, Adalynn Vroman, Addison Frink, Etta Vroman, and Annie Vroman, who loved their ‘Narna’.

Preceding her in death are her parents, Leslie and Wilma Fisher, her brother, Bobby Fisher, and her husband, Hartley Frink.

Elaine grew up outside of Fayette, Missouri which she called home most of her life. She and Hartley were married on April 5, 1953, and raised their family at the ‘farmer’ as her great-grandchildren affectionately named it years later. Elaine loved tending to things on the farm. From her garden to her chickens, she embraced her role as homemaker with love and attention. She described her happiest days as those spent on the farm in the springtime looking for rocks and mushrooms in the creek with her family, and enjoying a fish fry for supper while listening to some Willie Nelson. An accomplished seamstress, she found a way to love sewing and upholstery work in her later years, a task she would not have imagined in High School. Any task you gave her she found a way to complete. “It was no step for a stepper,” as she liked to say, and because of that she was an incredible role model.

Elaine was beloved by all who knew her. She did not know a stranger, adored her neighbors and community, and would give anything to help them. A faithful member of Mount Pleasant Christian Church, she worshiped and served as a deacon for years. She also was actively involved in the Baldridge Schoolhouse Alumni Association and served as an election official for decades at Baldridge. A devoted member of the Howard County Democratic Committee, she loved her community and supported it in any way she could. She touched many lives and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Her family takes comfort in knowing she is at peace, surrounded by light, and wishes her Happy Trails.

Contributions on her behalf can be made to Mount Pleasant Christian Church, Baldridge School House, or Coyote Hill Children’s Home in lieu of flowers.

A visitation will be held at Mount Pleasant Christian Church in Fayette, Missouri on Saturday, January 15, 2022 from 2 until 4 p.m. The family asks those in attendance please wear masks. A private celebration of life will be held in the spring.
