On Saturday, the Clark Middle School Lady Falcons took games from Salisbury, Scotland County, Westran, and Paris/Faith Walk Academy to win the 2021 Lewis & Clark Junior High championship. CMS walked away with a 6-2 win in the final.
In the final, Payton Kindle stepped into the pitching circle and struck out nine batters in six innings. She gave up only three hits and two walks.
At the plate, Kindle and Browyn Eubanks each provided two hits apiece. Kindle’s hit for extra bases with a double, and Eubanks blasted a home run. Eubanks and Brooklyn Wies each had two RBIs.
Leah Thies, and Brooklyn Wies each added one hit.
The Lady Falcons returned home on Monday to face South Callaway, but fell 6-5 as a last inning rally came up short.
