The Central Methodist softball program remains at No.11 in the third edition of the NAIA Softball Coaches’ Top 25 poll, announced by the national office on April 6.
Joining Central from the Heart Conference in the national rankings are Grand View at No.12, and MidAmerica Nazarene which received votes but not enough to crack the top 25.
The weekend prior to the poll announcement was a big one for the Lady Eagles who swept the No. 13 ranked Grand View by scores of 3-0 and 8-0 on Saturday, and swept William Penn University on Sunday. The wins pushed CMU’s overall record to 17-4 and 9-1 in conference play.
With their impressive run through the Heart so far this season, the Lady Eagles currently sit in first place in the Heart standings.
