The money was a gift from Commercial Trust Co. as part of a Facebook outreach effort in which Commercial Trust Co. employees shared pictures of their pets with others and then invited others to share the post. As of Friday, there were 1,161 people reached. In addition to the donation given to PAWS, for liking her favorite employee and pet, Jan Bagby’s name was randomly drawn for a $50 gift certificate to Howard County Veterinary Service.
In 2016, PAWS paid all or part of the spaying and neutering of 101 cats and dogs at a total cost of $3,867. Also in 2016, PAWS has transported 111 animals in the PAWS van to low-cost spays and neuters.
