Contestants are being sought for this year’s Queen and Teen contests at the Howard County Fair. The annual competition is scheduled to take place at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, June 22 at the Howard County Fairgrounds.

So far only one person has signed up for the Queen contest, and one for the Teen contest. The winner of the Queen contest will go on to compete at the Missouri State Fair in August. To sign up or for further information, contact Stacey Johnson at (573) 823-1992.

The reigning Howard County Queen in Hailey Sage, daughter of Rick and Aimee Sage of Fayette. Morgan Dix, daughter of Carrie and Derry Wiswall and Joshua Dix, was crowned Howard County Teen in 2021.

The annual Howard County Prince and Princess contest will take place an hour before the Queen contest at 6 p.m. Last year’s Prince and Princess were Croy Duren, son of Chip and Megan Duren, and Jenna Wies, the daughter of Blake and Sara Wies.
