The Howard County Industrial Park has been renewed as a Missouri Certified Site for the third time. The designation provides strong economic potential for the county.
Certified initially on Sept. 22, 2011, the Park is one of only 30 in Missouri to earn the designation. It is located on 45.23 county-owned acres on State Highway DD next to Missouri Pacific Lumber south of Fayette.
The Missouri Certified Sites (MCS) Technical Review Team re-certified the site for another three-year term, extending through July 31, 2027.
The MCS Technical Review Team found that all required information and responses for the re-certification were fully complete and satisfactory without any follow-up required.
This achievement underscores the Howard County Industrial Park’s position as a critical economic asset to Fayette and the entire Mid-Missouri region, explained Kaylee Paffrath, President/CEO of Moberly Area Economic Development Corporation (MAEDC).
“We are thrilled to announce the re-certification of the Howard County Industrial Park. This designation reaffirms our commitment to maintaining the highest standards for our economic assets and highlights the park’s readiness to attract new development opportunities. Our team is confident that this re-certification will continue to bring significant economic benefits to our community and the broader region.”
The Howard County Industrial Park is among the state’s 35 premier land sites certified under the MCS program. This re-certification enhances the site’s attractiveness to potential investors and solidifies its role in driving economic development within the region.
MAEDC is the economic development service provider for the Howard County Economic Development Council.
