Abbey Conrow and Grant Himmelmann were crowned Fayette High School’s Courtwarming Queen and King Friday night during halftime of the boys’ basketball game against Scotland County. Last year’s queen, Maddie Reed (left) presents a bouquet of roses to Conrow before crowning her with the traditional tiara.
Courtwarming was originally to take place on January 24, but was postponed when games were cancelled due to snow.
Conrow was also recognized for surpassing the 1,000-point mark for her basketball career. Fayette junior Kyle Schleeter also passed the 1,000-point milestone that night. Full game recaps by Sports Editor Jeff Yoder appear on Page 7 of this newspaper.
