Glasgow resident, Don Norris, 77, passed away peacefully at his home while he was surrounded by his loving family on March 21, 2022.

Donald G. Norris was born in Kansas on March 9, 1945. He was a son to the late Patricia A. Bias. Don graduated from Fayette High School with the class of 1964. On September 17, 1964, Don married his longtime sweetheart, Geraldine Forbes, in Columbia, Missouri. As a married couple, Don and Geraldine have enjoyed more than 57 years together. Don always had a strong work ethic and held numerous jobs throughout his career. Early in his career, Don worked as a carpenter, building houses. He worked for Mid-States Distributing and Young’s Lumber Yard for several years. He also held jobs at Penny Plate and Standard Havens. Don primarily worked as a loader and dredge operator for Capital Sand Plant in Glasgow, which was a job he held for 23 years. Toward the end of his career, Don worked as an auto body mechanic at J&B Fleet Service for more than eight years. Don loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by family and friends.

Don is survived by his wife of the home, Geraldine Norris; four children, Kimberly (Mark) Hundley of Franklin, Kelly (Dana) Norris of Glasgow, Kirby (Vida) Norris of Glasgow, and Kourtney (Jessica Hartman) Norris of Glasgow; 14 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Don is also survived by five siblings, Ronald, Carl and Roy Norris, Veda Smith, and Diana, all of Texas.

In addition to his parents, Don was preceded in death by a grandchild, Mark Hundley, Jr., and a sister, Juanita Jowers.

A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 16, 2022, at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Glasgow, with Rev. Sandra Enyard officiating.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Norris Family, in care of Friemonth-Freese Funeral Service, 112 Market St., Glasgow, MO 65254.
