Franklin, MO resident, Dustin Boggs, 48, passed away at his home March 23, 2021.
Dustin Allen Boggs was born July 23, 1972 in Fayette, MO, a son to Carl Edward and Yolanda (Chappell) Boggs. He graduated from Glasgow High School with the class of 1990. Upon graduation, Dustin enlisted with U.S. Army and served his country valiantly during Operation Desert Strom of the Gulf War. He was honorably discharged December 15, 1998. Dustin worked as a Corrections Officer for the Cooper County Department of Corrections for 18 years. He also worked for the Missouri Highway Patrol as a driver examiner and briefly worked for the Missouri Highway Department. Dustin loved the outdoors, riding four-wheelers, gardening and going on float trips. He loved fishing and spending time with his faithful companion, Rosco.
Survivors include his daughter, Constance (Doug Holtz) Jaeger, of Franklin, MO; two sons, Carl Brady Boggs, of Hollister, MO and Brett Allen Boggs, of New Franklin, MO; two grandchildren, Troy and Cory Holtz; his mother, Yolanda Boggs, of Franklin, MO; brother, Tim (Allison) Boggs, of Holts Summit, MO; sister, Shelly (Gene) Lee, of Columbia, MO; and his former wife, Kristina Boggs, of New Franklin, MO. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be 5-7 PM, Thursday, March 23, 2021 at Friemonth-Freese Funeral Home in Fayette, MO. A funeral honoring the life of Dustin Boggs will be 10 AM, Friday, March 26, 2021 at Boonesboro Christian Church in Franklin, MO, with Rev. David Mackey officiating. Burial with Military Honors will follow the service at Boonesboro Cemetery in Franklin.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the HST Memorial Veterans Hospital, in care of Friemonth-Freese Funeral Service, 174 Hwy. 5 & 240 N., Fayette, MO 65248.
