Greg Stidham, President-Elect of the Rotary Club of Fayette, presented Past-President Glenn Ludtke with the Rotary Citation certificate at the club’s regular meeting on March 29. The Rotary Citation is awarded to clubs for achieving goals that strengthen Rotary, increase club membership, develop sustainable service projects, support the Rotary Foundation, and build awareness of Rotary.
The Fayette Club was one of 11 clubs out of 52 in its district to earn the award for 2021-2022 when Ludtke was Club President.
Stidham recently attended a training conference in Jefferson City for Rotary leaders, where he had the opportunity to hear top Rotary International officers speak. Rotarians received training on membership, The Rotary Foundation, and public image.
Stidham received the certificate while at the conference. The Rotary Club of Fayette also received the Rotary Citation in 2020-2021 under the leadership of President Cathy Baxter.
Rotarians attending the institute also donated new shoes for children and teens to kick off a yearlong shoe drive in collaboration with Buckner Shoes for Orphan Souls®. The largest humanitarian aid project of Buckner International, it provides new shoes and socks to orphans and vulnerable children in the United States and throughout the world.
