Fayette Seniors, did you know the Fayette Senior Center is a great place to meet your friends for lunch? Lunch is served Monday-Friday from 11 am to 12:30 pm. Healthy meals are prepared in-house and menus are chosen through Aging Best, an agency guided by the Department of Health and Senior Services. Meals are reasonably priced, with a suggested donation of $5.00. Weekly menus are listed in this newspaper. Anyone 60 and over (and spouse regardless of age) is eligible. Parking is handy also.
Besides great food the Senior Center offers activities such as exercise groups, bingo, card games and other activities that local seniors suggest. Health screenings and vaccinations are held on occasion. Information is often available for other senior services offered in Howard County.
We are conducting an on-going fundraising project from now until the end of March. We are selling paper shamrocks. Purchase a shamrock, put your name on it, and we will display it on the wall with our other donors. Donations go toward running the center – utilities, equipment, insurance, etc. We cannot do what we do without the help of our valuable donors.
If you would like more information about this valuable asset in our community please stop by, call us at 660-248-3733, or talk to one of our volunteers. We’ll be glad to fill you in and we hope to see you there.
