A fishing tournament and a fish fry benefitting Solo’s Dream Catcher last weekend raised around $7,800 for the pet welfare charity. Shelley Day, who launched Solo’s Dream Catcher last year, said roughly 85 meals were served during the Friday night fish fry and auction at St. Joseph Catholic Church hall.

The fishing tournament launched from Stump Island Park at Glasgow on Saturday. First place went to the team Flat Head Broke with a catch of 191.2 pounds. Second place with a catch of 148.8 pounds went to Jerry Adams and Ryan Schaefer. They also won the prize for largest fish caught at 70.8 pounds. Finishing third was Ivy Logging, comprised of Jason, Dalton, and Carter Ivy, with a catch of 119.6 pounds.
