Leading just 15-11 after one quarter, Higbee won the second quarter by a score of 19-2.

“After a sluggish defensive first quarter ,we brought some pressure and outscored BMC by 17 in the second quarter, creating enough separation for the win,” Higbee coach Tanner Burton said.

Jamie Smith had 13 points and a career-high 16 rebounds, with eight coming on the offensive end. Gibson also had a double-double with 11 rebounds.

Keetun Redifer scored 11 points for the Tigers and Luke Ritter had four steals.
