The Glasgow boys reached the consolation final of the Salisbury tournament with a 59-32 win over Norborne.
Drew Sanders made seven 3-pointers, scoring 26 points in the Yellowjacket victory. Glasgow took a 16-6 lead after one quarter and increased the lead to 34-8 by halftime.
Deshonne Cowans was 4-6 from the floor for 10 points, three steals and two blocked shots. Antwaun Herriford had seven points, five rebounds and three steals. Noah Boss had six points, Jacquan Cowans scored five, Edris Hamilton finished with three and Spencer Wood added two.
The consolation final against Carrollton was postponed until 4:30 p.m. on Feb. 8 due to poor weather over the weekend. Cairo won the boys championship final 67-52 over Salisbury.
Paris 59, Glasgow 57
Deshonne Cowans had a 14-point, 14-rebound performance, but Paris came back to edge Glasgow 59-57 in the opening round.
Glasgow led 30-24 at the half and extended the lead to 49-41 with one quarter left, but the Yellowjacket offense cooled off in the fourth quarter as the Coyotes won the final quarter 18-8.
Drew Sanders led four Yellowjackets in double figures with 15 points. Cowans blocked five shots in addition to his double-double. Antwaun Herriford had 14 points and three steals. Trevor Sanders was 2-3 from the 3-point line for 10 points and added four steals.
S. Shelby 55, Glasgow 46
The Lady Jackets fell to South Shelby 55-46 in the consolation semifinal of the Salisbury tournament.
Brenna Hubbard was 8-12 from the floor for 18 points. Malia Carmack finished with 10 points and four steals. Hadley Sanders, Krista Monnig and Miranda Cooper each added six points. Monnig led the Lady Jackets with five assists and Cooper had a team-high nine rebounds.
The seventh-place game against Meadville was canceled due to weather over the weekend.
Salisbury 49, Glasgow 26
Glasgow lost to top-seeded tournament host Salisbury 49-26 in a first-round game on Monday, January 6. Brenna Hubbard led the Lady Jackets with 14 points and seven rebounds. Malia Carmack and five points and two steals. Hadley Sanders finished with three points, three assists and three steals.
