The Lady Jackets of Glasgow took second in the girls division of the Glasgow Tournament. Going into the third quarter of Saturday’s championship game with a one-point lead it looked as if it were going to be a tight game. The Eagles of Otterville came on strong in the third quarter, doubling Glasgow’s scoring 18-9. The Eagles held tight in the fourth quarter, defeating the Lady Jackets 43-32 to take the championship.
Glasgow had three players in double figures. Brenna Hubbard led the Jackets wit 15, followed by Malia Carmack with 12. Macie Parks was right behind with 11.
In the boys division Cairo outscored the Slater Wildcats by 21 to take the championship 69-48. Justyn Gittemeyer of Cairo led all scorers with 17 while Keegan Zydbel led Slater with 12.
