Glenn Collier dies at 87

Glenn Collier in 2007Fayette businessman Glenn Collier passed away on Sunday, Sept. 7, at 87 years of age.

For more than 50 years, Glenn operated Collier Auto Sales, a used car dealership, in Fayette along Highway 5. In operation for 70 years, under the management of Glenn’s father and Glenn himself, Collier Auto Sales was considered the second oldest family-owned retail business in Fayette.

A veteran of World War II, Glenn attended Fayette High School and Central Methodist College.

He and his wife Betty, who survives, had been married for 65 years.

Glenn was awarded the Fayette Rotary Club Business Leader of the Year in 2007.
