A Fayette antique store has permanently closed. Grey Willows announced on Friday that it will not reopen following its annual January break.
Owner Cathy Thogmorton opened the store on September 21, 2013, in one of the oldest buildings in town on South Main Street. Thogmorton converted the 1826 Shepard-Davis House into the store that was meant to serve as a cultural enclave for artists.
Over the years, Grey Willows has hosted classes and workshops, book signings, art shows, fundraisers, and movie nights and has been a part of downtown wine walks, fairs, and festivals.
The announcement was made via the business’s Facebook page.
Anyone with gift certificates should contact the business.
