A three-sport letterman, Harrisburg senior Brayton Stephenson will focus his talents on track and field when heads off to college. Choosing to further his career at Central Methodist, Stephenson will be the third in a line of local throwers to compete at Central, following current CMU senior and Harrisburg alumni Taylor Bottomley and Fayette’s Josh Henderson, currently a freshman.
“The first time I met Brayton was after his freshman year,” said Harrisburg coach Blake Logan. “I was wowed by his work ethic, but not so much his athleticism. Over the course of his late sophomore and moving into his junior year, he transformed himself into one of the most power and explosive athletes in the history of Harrisburg High School.
“I am blessed to have had the opportunity to coach him in both football and track and watch him help lead both programs to become state contenders.”
