Historic Tax Credit Workshop Tuesday

Posted

Anyone with a property listed either individually or as a contributing building to a National Register District, and those interested in Historic Preservation Tax Credits for rehabbing historic properties, and curious about Historic Preservation Fund Grants are invited to a free historic preservation tax credit workshop from 11:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 13.

Downtown Fayette, the Fayette Historic Preservation Commission, and the State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO) will host the workshop, presented by members of the Architectural Preservation Services (APS) unit of SHPO. It will be followed by a presentation on the Historic Preservation Fund Grants program, presented by the Missouri SHPO Grants Manager.

As lunch will not be provided, participants should bring lunch.   The workshop will be held at Tricky Fish Community Room, 114 South Main Street, a block south of the downtown Fayette square.

Those who plan to attend should RSVP with their name and contact information (email and phone) to barbiedoll0182@gmail.com. For questions or for more information, contact Pam Huttsell, Chair of Fayette Historic Preservation Commission, at huttsell@sbcglobal.net or (573) 239-0068.

It is recommended that participants prepare in advance by watching the video “Historic Tax Credits Made It Possible,” at https://youtu.be/ZdwwGAxzJEE?si=cCep_Wp6w5jh-BG0 (27 min.)
