THE HOWARD COUNTY CHAPTER OF THE DAUGHTERS OF THE AMERICAN REVOLUTION celebrated their 111th anniversary on Thursday, June 19, with a trip to Roslyn Heights in Boonville. The historic mansion serves as the Missouri State Society Daughters of the American Revolution Headquarters.
District Director Ester Rosner, Museum Outreach Director Linda Dunbar, and Curator, Laura Mauzey joined 20 Howard County DAR members at the luncheon. A list of charter members was read aloud and a brief history of the chapter was given by member Lisa Cook. Following the meeting, they enjoyed a tour of the house. Mauzey explained how the artist made the mural of the Boonville river area, which adorns all four walls of the dining room.
