Howard County DAR recognizes area Kindergartners for learning Pledge

Posted

Kindergartners across the county were awarded flags and certificates from the Howard County chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Students earn the flags by learning the Pledge of Allegiance.

The group made the presentations on Thursday, May 5 to Kindergarten students in Fayette, New Franklin, and Glasgow public schools, as well as those enrolled at St. Mary’s Catholic School in Glasgow.

“We do this with great pride,” said DAR member Dee Woodward. “They do so well in their memorization of the pledge.”
