2024 Queen Candidates
Emily Adams
Emily is the daughter of Anthony and Miranda Adams. She is the oldest of six children, including three brothers and three sisters. She is a student at Fayette High School. She enjoys spending time with her family. She currently works at the Lodge and has been an employee there for over a year.
Gretta Sydney Murrell
Gretta is the 19-year-old daughter of Stephen and Lisa Murrell. She is an EMT at the Howard County Ambulance base in Fayette. She is currently in Adair County’s paramedic program and will graduate in 2025. Gretta is proud of her EMT license, as it took a lot of time and dedication, but she is excited about the next step of becoming a paramedic. When she is not on a call, she cleans the ambulance in and out. She chose a medical demonstration because it means a lot to her as her passion is within healthcare.
KatiJo Schaefer
KatieJo is the 18-year-old daughter of Greg and Jessica Schaefer. Her future plans are to major in AG education at Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville and then start teaching Ag. She has a passion for agriculture and the agricultural industry. She recently graduated from Glasgow High School, where she stayed busy in extracurricular activities such as band, choir, running cross country and track, and being an active member of Glasgow’s FFA chapter. She served as Glasgow FFA’s president and as Reporter for Missouri FFA Area IV. Through this experience, she was able to connect and share her passion for ag with FFA remembers across the state.
KatieJo also won the title of Howard County Teen in 2022.
Sabrina Strodtman
Sabrina is the 18-year-old daughter of Kyle and Julie Strodtman. Her future plans are to attend State Fair Community College to study agriculture education as well as ag business. She has served as parliamentarian for NHS, as well as secretary for Future Teachers of America and historian for FFA. She is involved in student tutoring and is a member of FBLA. Sabrina has quite a list of academic achievements, including placing fourth in state cross country and FFA leadership, proficiency, and scholarship awards. She participated in floriculture, meat evaluation, and fruit sales through FFA. Sabrina participates in basketball, cross country, and track.
2024 Teen Candidates
Chloe Elizabeth Bier
Chloe is the 15-year-old daughter of Stefanie and John Allphin. She was born in Nebraska and moved to Fayette when she was seven months old. She has two little brothers, Kyle and Reed Allphin. She plans to become a politician. She will be a junior at Fayette High School this fall, where she plans to start her college dual credit classes in Government, Anatomy, and Law and You. She is active in cheer clinics and plans to pursue that in her college career. Chloe is involved in FFA, where she is on the dairy cattle and agronomy contest teams. She has received the greenhand and chapter degree awards through FFA.
Academically, Chloe is active in NHS and student council, where she is vice president of her student body. She participates in varsity cheer, varsity track, and Fayette FFA. She holds a silver Renaissance silver card for her GPA and was honored to represent Howard Electric Coop in Jefferson City this July for CYCLE 2024.
Sida Lee Gregory
Sida is the 15-year-old daughter of Travis and Jessica Gregory. She has a long history in agriculture, including eight years in 4-H, and is active in FFA, where she serves as parliamentarian at her Fayette chapter. Sida trains her own horses, which she enjoys riding, as well as spending time on her family farm. She participates in Fayette High School softball and basketball teams. Sida is also an active member of the marching band, where she plays the flute. Academically, she is on the Fayette honor roll and plans to pursue a degree in nursing at Moberly Area Community College upon graduation.
Gracie Innes
Gracie is the 15-year-old daughter of Carrie Daniels and Edward Innes, Jr. In the future, she plans to finish high school and pursue a degree in the medical field while also participating in rodeo. Gracie will be the secretary in her local FFA chapter this coming fall. She enjoys teaching herself new hobbies, such as songwriting and photography. She has also learned how to fix and drive tractors with her stepdad.
Stella True Matyas
Stella is the 16-year-old daughter of Megan and Jeremy Stephens, and Jasen and Jackie Matyas. She plans to attend Truman State University or Central Methodist to study business or agriculture management. Stella said she could see herself in Ag sales or Ag business because she enjoys working with people and agriculture. Some of her accomplishments include the academic honor roll, being an active member of New Franklin FFA—where she received the Star Farmer Award—and FBLA, NHS, and FTA. She also plays golf and runs cross country and track.
In her spare time, she enjoys rodeo, competing in barrel racing, goat tying, and pole bending. One of her favorite accomplishments is receiving the True Grit Award from rodeo bible camp.
Kadence Sulltrop
Kadence is the 14-year-old daughter of Amber and Troy Overfelt and the late Chad Sulltrop. Her future plans are to attend CMU to obtain a bachelor’s degree in nursing. She also would like to expand her herd of alternative livestock that she raises and open farm tours and animal encounters. In the last year she has received the Glory of Missouri award for accomplishments in the area of Liberty. Kadence received the Fayette school board GPA award, Ag science award, eighth-grade math and health awards, and received Rate of Gain for a market lamb and Grand Champion Home Raised Lamb at the 2023 Howard County Fair. She also received the Grand Champion award at the State Fair for a jewelry box entered in crafts.
Kadence is the secretary of her Cherry Grove 4-H club, a member of Junior NHS, participates in Lady Falcons softball, basketball, Outlaw softball, and plans to join FFA.
Molly Wies
Molly Wies is the 15-year-old daughter of Blake and Sarah Wies. She resides with her siblings, Jenna and Scott, on their family farm outside Fayette. She has attended Fayette R-III since kindergarten and will be a student there this fall. Her future plans are to obtain a state FFA degree and possibly an occupation in finance or agriculture. She has memorized the FFA creed and recited it at the FFA banquet this year, where she also earned her greenhand degree. In her spare time, Molly enjoys making bracelets and working with her newborn colt, Thunder, and her heifer and goat, which she will show during the fair.
