Upon crossing the start/stop line with the direction of the track official, the contestant will move through the barrels (poles) in a uniform and prescribed pattern. If the contestant breaks the pattern, they will be disqualified. A 10-second penalty will apply for every barrel (pole) that is tipped over. Time will end when the rider has successfully completed the pattern and crossed the start/stop line.
