Howard County Farm Bureau recognized at annual meeting

Missouri Farm Bureau members returned to their traditional annual meeting December 5-7 at the Lake of the Ozarks. The organization’s 108th meeting theme, Rooted in Service, highlighted not only service to MOFB members, but the community services those members voluntarily give. Farm Bureau leaders main responsibility at the meeting was to develop and approve Farm Bureau legislative policies for 2023.

During the convention, Farm Bureau counties were recognized for their advocacy and service to members. County delegates also re-elected St. Clair farmer Garrett Hawkins as president and re-elected board members from the first, second, third, fourth, and South-at-Large districts.

Members from the Howard County Farm Bureau joined more than 1,300 other members from throughout the state, many of them delegates voting on policy. Those attending from the county were President, Chris Rohlfing, Fred Weiker, Susan Wheaton-Chambers, Trace Chambers, and Vice President, Doug Chambers. 

The county was recognized for its membership activities during a Gold Star Awards program, Howard County Farm Bureau leader President, Chris Rohlfing, received congratulations from MOFB Board Member Drew Lock.
