Howard County Prayer Breakfast Set for May 6

Posted
Ted House, formerly of Fayette and now an associate circuit judge in St. Charles County, will keynote a Howard County prayer breakfast on Thursday, May 6.

House has served in both the Missouri Senate and House. A graduate of Fayette High School and Central Methodist College, he is the son of Keith and Ilene House of Fayette. Married and the father of three children, he holds a law degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City.

The event will be held from 7:15 to 8:30 a.m. at Faith Family Church on Highway 240 South.

Set to coincide with the National Day of Prayer, the breakfast will focus on this year's national theme, 'Let Freedom Ring' states Faith Family Pastor Jamie Page, one of the organizers. 'Our Howard County pastors look forward to the opportunity of praying for you, the families, the schools, the cities and the institutions of this region,' he said.

Federal law established the National Day of Prayer in 1952 and in 1988 it was amended to officially fall on the first Thursday in May.

'The National Day of Prayer is not about politics, it's about calling our citizens to prayer on behalf of our nation and her leaders,' Page said.
