Julia Perry, age 91, passed away at Glasgow Gardens on June 21, 2025.

Julia Fern Perry was born on January 12, 1934, in Madison County, Mo. She was a daughter to the late Martin Irl and Della Clementine (Simmons) Clubb. On March 16, 1954, Julia married John Joseph Hess, Jr. in St. Louis, Mo., and under this union had two children, Pamela Sue and Randolph John. John, Jr., preceded her in death on September 10, 1974. On August 7, 1986, Julia married Lee Roy Perry, and as a couple, they spent nearly 35 years in Kentucky. Lee preceded Julia in death on June 7, 2019. Julia was an accomplished businesswoman and beautician. She owned two locations of Exquisite Beauty Salon for numerous years, first in St. Louis and then in Fredericktown, Mo. Julia loved sewing, knitting, crocheting, and quilting. She was a wonderful cook and baker and also enjoyed taking care of her flowers and garden. Julia was an active member of the VFW auxiliary in the Bowling Green, Ky., area for many years. She also actively attended Fayette First Christian Church.

Survivors include two children, Pamela (Stewart) Huttsell, of Fayette, Mo., and Randolph (Evelyn) Hess, of Las Vegas, N.V.; 10 grandchildren: Aimee (Rick) Sage, of Fayette, Mo., Brandon Huttsell, of Fayette, Mo., Jonathan (Chelsea) Huttsell, of Appleton, Wis., Ryan (Anastasia) Huttsell, of St. Louis, Mo., Paige (Mavrick) Frerking, of Fayette, Mo., Robert (Tonya) Hess, of Cleburne, Texas, Michael (Ruschelle) Hess, of Cleburne, Texas, Nicole (Ryan) Tucker, of Las Vegas, N.V., Kya (Dan) Pulsipher, of Sparta, Wis., Belinda (Tony) Berglof, of Las Vegas, N.V.; 18 great-grandchildren; four siblings, Lindell Clubb, of Farmington, Mo., Vernon (Nancy) Clubb, of Farmington, Mo., Delores Pedigo, of Bonne Terre, Mo., and Kathryn (Bob) Cook, of Brownsville, Ky. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews. In addition to her husbands and parents, Julia was preceded in death by a sister, Eula Belle Kapper; an infant brother, James Paul Clubb; a niece, Sandy Kapper; and a nephew, Danny Clubb. 

A memorial service honoring the life of Julia Perry will be 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 5, 2025, at Fayette First Christian Church, with Rev. Sharae Kelley officiating. Visitation will be an hour before the service, starting at 10 a.m. at the church. Private inurnment will follow the service at Fayette City Cemetery.
