The popular Kids Market kicked off its summer season on the west side of the courthouse square on Saturday morning.
More than a dozen booths were open with young entrepreneurs from around Howard County selling everything from jewelry, plants, and produce, to cookies, cupcakes, and lemonade.
Sponsored by Fayette Main Street, Inc., the event is spearheaded by Liz Dougherty. It began last summer and grew increasingly popular throughout the summer.
For her efforts last year, Dougherty was named the Volunteer of the Year in 2021 by the Fayette Optimist Club.
The Kids Market runs the first two Saturday of June, July, and August from 9 until 11 a.m.
