A new flag and flagpole now adorns the historic location of the former Lincoln Public School along Hackberry Street in Fayette. Members of the White-Bell Post of the American Legion and the Lincoln Public School Memorial Committee erected the flag pole in a join venture Saturday afternoon.
The Lincoln Public School was an all-black school in Fayette that operated from 1871 until 1966.
