Now that September has arrived, we will soon be feeling the chill of autumn in the air and watching as the leaves begin to turn colors. September also brings the beginning of school and usually the end of summer vacation and travels.
However, the end of summer does not mean an end to your discovery of new places far and wide. You can let your imagination take you where ever you wish to go as we have both fiction and non-fiction set in almost every location in the world. Hopefully, you can find a book where you travel to any place you wish! It would be a perfect way to spend chilly fall days or nights!
If exotic locations aren’t your thing, maybe holiday meals are staring to be on your mind. The library has an extensive collection of fall holiday cookbooks along with ideas for crafts and other ways to prepare for the upcoming holidays. As always, we want to let you know that the library offers more than books!
The Friends of the Library and the librarians are currently discussing plans for some fun and exciting events to celebrate the various fall holidays. Be sure to check the newspaper, our website, Facebook, or the library itself for more information on these events!
Other library offerings include a Story Hour every Friday at 11 a.m., with the first Friday of each month being Block Day! DVD’s, magazines and newspapers are also available. We hope to see you soon.
Happy Fall!
