Lions Club Easter Egg Hunt April 1

Posted

The Fayette Lions Club Easter egg hunt will be held at 11 a.m. this Saturday, April 1, at the Fayette City Park. Children from newborns through fifth grade are invited to participate.

The Lions Club has hosted the annual Easter Egg Hunt for more than 25 years, and is seeking new members to keep the tradition alive.

Participants will meet at the old shelter house on the hill in the Fayette City Park, and will be divided into five separate age groups.

The categories are: infants up to age two, three- to five-year-olds, kindergartners and first graders, second and third graders, and fourth and fifth graders.

Each participant should bring his or her own bag or basket. Baskets will not be provided at the event. Eggs may include such prizes as candy and coins.

Other prizes will be handed out after the egg hunt. Those include kites, Play-Doh, bubbles, stuffed animals, candy, and summer toys.

The Easter Bunny is expected to make an appearance this year as well.

The event will move to Clark Middle School cafeteria in the event of rain.

Anyone interested in making donations or helping with the event should call Carolyn Hazlett at (660) 888-3166.
