The Alpha Lambda Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma Society International met Saturday, June 5, in Fayette to plan the programs for 2021-2022. The chapter includes women involved in any field of education from Cooper and Howard Counties.
Programs for the year include a visit September 11 at the South Howard County Historical Society in New Franklin, a First Saturday program on October 2 at the Arrow Rock Visitor’s center, a tour of the Ashby Hodge Gallery on November 13, and a program in Fayette from a teacher who taught overseas, on March 12, 2022.
The final program will be a Founder's Day program and election of officers following a luncheon on April 9, 2022.
Details for this meeting will be announced at the group’s September meeting. Women teachers, Parents as Teachers educators, school nurses, librarians, and administrators are invited to come to any of these meetings. New members are welcome.
