Marguery Ann Keith, 98, of Boonville and formerly of Creve Coeur, passed away on February 20, 2023, at Riverdell Care Center in Boonville.
Marguery was born in Chicago, Illinois on April 16, 1924, a daughter of Harry and Irma Stinson Stout. She married Robert Keith, and he preceded her in death.
She was employed by the Parkway Schools as a secretary for many years. Marguery was a member of the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church, where she enjoyed teaching three and four-year-olds. Square dancing was a passion for Marguery and Robert. They served as president of the League of Square Dancing Clubs in the St. Louis area, and they also went overseas to share the art of square dancing. She enjoyed sewing, especially making square dancing outfits and cross stitching and knitting. Marguery also had a gift for hosting friends and family at her home. She especially enjoyed opening their home to friends and family during the Christmas season.
Cherishing her memory are three sons, Michael Keith and wife, Sandy, Kenneth Keith and wife, Charlene, and Russ Keith and a daughter, Deb Watson and husband, Jim; and her “adopted family” Art and Wanda Kruse, nine grandchildren, Shawn Keith, Shane Keith, Erin Keith, Shannon Taft, Brendan Keith, Chris Keith, Nathan Keith, James Watson, and Brandon Watson; and 14 great-grandchildren, Brittany Keith, Brianna Keith, Tristan Keith and Liam Keith, Jasper Holland, Rowan Holland and Elliott Holland, Adelyn Taft and Keaton Taft and Zoey Watson, Jordyn Watson and Kathryn Watson, and Connor Watson and Garrett Watson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and siblings, a grandson, Ryan Keith, and a son-in-law, Steven Bell.
A memorial service honoring Mrs. Keith will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 11 at Riverdell Care Center in Boonville.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the New Franklin United Methodist Church, Riverdell Care Center, or Three Rivers Hospice.
