Marian Sellmeyer, 91, of Kansas City, MO passed away at North Kansas City Hospital on July 26, 2021.
Marian L. Sellmeyer was born December 29, 1929 in Gilliam, MO, a daughter to the late Vincent and Clara (Damma) Sellmeyer. She graduated from Glasgow High School with the class of 1947. Following high school, she attended beauty school and became a licensed beautician. Marian also did a lot of bookkeeping, keeping the books and working as a beauty operator for Alex-Angel Beauty Salon for 40 years. Marian loved traveling and reading. She was a devout Catholic and member of St. Patrick Parish in Kansas City.
Survivors include her sister, Margie Lewis of Glasgow and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. In addition to her parents, Marian was preceded in death by two sisters, Vera Nellesen and Barbara Sellmeyer.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 AM, Saturday, July 31, 2021 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Glasgow, MO, with Fr. Joshua Duncan officiating. Visitation will be held an hour before the service at the church. Interment will follow the funeral at Washington Cemetery in Glasgow.
Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Mary Catholic Church. Final arrangements are under the direction of Friemonth-Freese Funeral Service, 112 Market St., Glasgow, MO 65254.
