Mary Lynn “Lindy” Battles, 67, of Fulton entered the gates of Heaven on Sunday, May 24, 2020.
She was born in Fulton, Mo. on July 12, 1952 to the late Lloyd Harrison and the late Dema (Parker) Harrison. She and her older brother, Steve, grew up on the Missouri School for the Deaf campus.
Mary Lynn served as an educator for more than thirty years. She touched the lives of so many people in her years of service. In recent years, she fully enjoyed retirement life. She loved spending time with her loved ones and was a very dedicated friend. She was involved with her church and her community. Her favorite moments were those spent with her four children and ten grandchildren.
Mary Lynn will be missed by her children Sara McDowell (Cody) of Moberly, Joni Garrett (Spencer) of O’Fallon, Megan Bass (Kyle) of Columbia, and Steve Battles, (Ashley) of Fulton, brother, Steve Harrison (Judy) of Fulton; sister-in-law, Cathy Battles; grandchildren, Deklyn Bass, Maddox McDowell, Carson Bass, Hudson McDowell, Gavin Garrett, Grady Bass, Landry McDowell, Chandler Garrett, Kennedy Bass, and Sutton McDowell; and her nieces, nephews, and friends that were like family to her.
Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 30, 2020 at Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton with Pastor Jason Buckwalter officiating. Friends will be received from 11 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Inurnment will be held in Auxvasse Cemetery at a later date.
Memorial donations are suggested to Heartland Church of the Nazarene, c/o Maupin Funeral Home, 301 Douglas Boulevard, Fulton, MO 65251.
