U.S. Navy veteran David Maxfield was the recipient of the Quilt of Valor from the Peacemakers Quilters during the annual Veterans Day ceremony held at Fayette High School Friday morning. Staff Sergeant Maxfield served from 1976 until 2013. (See additional photos on Page 6).
Since 2011, the Peacemakers Quilting Group has presented more than 60 Quilts of Valor to local veterans who have been touched by war.
