New Franklin aldermen deny building permit for storage units

Posted

New Franklin aldermen on Monday took no action on a request by Larry Kempf to build additional storage units in New Franklin. The inaction is in effect a refusal to allow the permit.

Kempf, who owns New Franklin Storage on Missouri St., asked the council to issue a building permit so he may add an additional 30-feet by 50-feet building. Following his proposal, council members remained silent and and took no action. No motion was made to approve the permit.

“If no action was taken, no permit will be issued,” explained Greg Robinson, attorney for the City of New Franklin.
