Citizens in New Franklin will soon have new trash service. The city announced on Thursday, December 26, that T-Mac, Inc. will begin garbage collection in January. The new rate for trash collection will be $15.40 per month, up from $11.69.
The city’s current trash collector, Waste Management, will pick up trash as usual on Friday, December 31. The company will also pick up all roll carts.
T-Mac will pick up garbage on Fridays. The company requests that citizens put out all trash to be collected by 6:30 a.m. on garbage days. Trash must be in bags and residents may use their own trash cans.
The contract between the City of New Franklin and T-Mac is for three years.
