The Fayette Advertiser will not publish on Wednesday, July 16. Newspapers will not be mailed out or placed on news stands.
This newspaper is prepared each week by only two people. The break in publishing will allow for this two-person staff to take simultaneous vacations during what is commonly the slowest time for news in Howard County. It exists in a lull between a busy June and Independence Day, and the annual Festival of the Arts the first weekend of August and the beginning of fall sports practices leading into of the new school semester.
The newspaper office will be closed that entire week, July 14-18. Telephone messages will be reviewed upon our return to the office on July 21. Email will continue to be monitored for emergencies only, allowing us to enjoy some much-needed family time.
The pause will only last a week, and publication will resume like normal on Wednesday, July 23.
