One of three people charged with child endangerment apprehended

Law enforcement still searching for two others

One of three persons sought by law enforcement was apprehended by the Howard County Sheriff’s Department on Friday. Corey Minnis, 32, of Glasgow, is in custody at the Howard County Jail on a $10,000 cash-only bond.

Minnis is one of three people who fled an apartment in Glasgow before a narcotics warrant was served by the Glasgow Police and Howard County Sheriff’s departments and the East-Central Drug Task Force on March 17. Police are still searching for Joseph Christopher Woodruff, Jr., 22, and Jasmine R. Howell, 31, both of Glasgow. All three have been charged with first-degree child endangerment.

A press release by the task force stated that it was learned after the raid that the three suspects had fled the area prior to police arrival and were unable to be located.

During the search of the home, officers seized methamphetamine, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia.

Law enforcement is asking the public to contact the Glasgow Police Department or the Howard County Sheriff’s Department with any information on the location of Woodruff and Howell.

Minnis is not unknown to area law enforcement. In 2017 he spent six days in jail after his probation was revoked stemming from a guilty plea in 2016 to third-degree assault. He also had an order of protection filed against him during the summer of 2015 around the time that assault charge was filed.
