Fayette will be the center of attention Saturday as the annual Fayette Optimists Club Power Pull kicks off at the Howard County Fairgrounds. Start time is 6:30 p.m.
Tickets are $20 for adults, and youth 5-11 are $5. Children six and under are free.
“The weather is looking toasty, and the pulling will be just as hot,” said Optimists President Joe Ivy. “We’re looking forward to a big crowd and some great pulling action.”
Ivy said the Champion Seed Western Series will feature Sancrest Trailers 95 Limited Pro Stock Tractors, as well as Fleece Performance Pro Street Diesel Trucks and Light Pro Stock Tractors. There will also be competition in Sancrest Specialized 85 Limited Pro Stock Tractors, as well as Tuff Wireless Pro Farm Tractors and Invitational 4x4 Pro Stock Trucks.
There will also be something for the kids. The annual Youth Pedal Pull starts at 4 p.m.
Gates open at 2 p.m., and lawn chairs and coolers are welcome.
