More than 100 people received hot meals at the 2022 Fayette Community Christmas Dinner on Sunday afternoon. The annual dinner was served in the basement of the First Christian Church in Fayette on Christmas Day. In addition, dozens of meals were delivered to those who were unable to attend in person.
A team of seasoned cooks has been working together for more than a decade to provide the community meal, and has already started planning for next year. The Fayette First Christian Church hosted the event. Members of the congregation donated desserts and helped to make the event a success.
Members of the team include Nancy Symes, Bill and Adrienne Thies, Brian McMilllan, Peggy O’Connell, Mike Thornton. Bekki Galloway, Lue Lockridge-Lane, Marsha Broadus, Kieran McMillan, Randy and Jeri Mattson, and Rosie Thornton.
