Fayette resident, Pat Crowley, 73, passed away suddenly on October 9, 2021.

Patricia Ann Crowley was born in Kansas City, MO on January 13, 1948, a daughter to the late Edward Homer and Marjorie (Kinnamon) Young.  On August 6, 1975 she married Bobby H. Crowley.  Together, they enjoyed over 30 years of marriage until his passing on December 18, 2005.  Pat put her schooling on pause so she could raise her family.  She ended up graduating from Fayette High School in 1982, which was an accomplishment she was very proud of.  At the age of 50, Pat furthered her education and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in history education from Central Methodist University.

Pat was an accomplished seamstress by trade.  She worked for National Garment Factory for numerous years, eventually becoming head of quality control.  Most recently she was doing seamstress work for Hentges Tree Service out of Jefferson City.  She made numerous articles of clothing, including wedding dresses and suits for groomsmen.  Pat selflessly volunteered her time to make and donate clothes, dolls and dresses for mission projects through her beloved church, Faith Family.  Pat was also a substitute teacher in Howard County.  She subbed for Fayette, Glasgow and New Franklin Schools for many years.  When she wasn’t doing seamstress work or teaching, Pat enjoyed gardening, tending to her flowers and raising her cows and chickens.  Pat’s generosity goes unmatched, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Survivors include her two children, Ann (Joe) Crowley-Stecker of Waldport, Oregon and Mike (Maria) Crowley of Kansas City, Kansas; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; three siblings, Jeanne (Don) Chandler of Fayette, Missouri, Marjorie (David Hanslick) Lawson of Gilliam, Missouri and Bill (Janice) Wyrick of Independence, Missouri.  0

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Michael “Mikey” Crowley, Jr., and two nephews, Ben Chandler and Jerry Paul Lawson, Jr.

Visitation will be 5 to 7 PM, Friday, October 15, 2021 at Faith Family Church in Fayette.  A funeral honoring the life of Mrs. Crowley will be 1 PM, Saturday, October 16, 2021 at Faith Family Church, with Pastor Jamie Page officiating.  Burial will follow the service at Walnut Ridge Cemetery in Fayette.

Memorial contributions are suggested to Faith Family Church.  Final arrangements are under the direction of Friemonth-Freese Funeral Service, 174 Hwy. 5 & 240 N., Fayette, MO 65248.
